One of the first questions potential clients want to know when they contact me is:
How much does career coaching cost?
Although this is an extremely difficult answer to find since the majority of career coaches don’t like to post the cost for their services on their websites, I will address this question directly here.
As a NYC Career Coach who specializes in tough transitions, I offer all new clients a 2-hour exploratory session for $60 per hour. I also charge $500 for a series of (4) 45-minute anytime sessions, $725 for a series of (6) one-hour anytime sessions and $850 for a series of (6) one-hour enhanced anytime sessions. And I offer payment plans too.
How much does career coaching cost? Now you know.
The sessions can be used to address broad topics such as getting to the heart of what you really want to do professionally or can address specific topics like updating your job search marketing materials or working through on-the-job challenges.
Some of my clients come to me for quick fixes that can easily be addressed in a simple email exchange, while other clients require my expertise to help them un-mangle the chaotic web that’s got them by the ankles. It’s hard to get ahead when you’re stuck where you’re standing.
My Career Coaching Services Include:
• An initial 30 complimentary meet + greet convo. (for packaged sessions only.)
• An extensive evaluation that will provide career path clarity
• Resource recommendations based on your individual needs
• Face to face sessions for NYC clients in very cool downtown locations
I am also available for early morning, evening or weekend Skype or FaceTime sessions, too.
I don’t hold my clients to multiple-month packages.
Coaches who offer 3, 6, 9 month packages are pretty much banking on the “idea” that you’re not going to be able to ‘get through life’ without them any time soon. I wonder what would happen if someone’s greatest ‘a-ha moment’ was achieved within the first month of a 3-month package? Most coaches don’t offer refunds, so great – then what?
I actually WANT my clients to be able to ‘get through life’ without having to enlist my services forever.
In fact, it’s my intention to leave my clients in a place of never having to work with a coach again. But should any of my clients wish to extend our partnership past the initial group of sessions, we can.
Just to be sure, I conducted a search for the answer to how much does career coaching cost while writing this article, and it’s amazing how many coaches actually don’t post the cost of their services on their websites.
Though I’m certain the reasons for this will vary from coach to coach, I can’t help but think: if their services carried enough value to justify the price they’re asking for, finding the answer to how much does career coaching cost wouldn’t be the 8th wonder of the world, now would it?
If you’re interested in working with a NYC Career Coach, I’m only an email away.
